Photo Journalism

Much of todays photography is photojournalistic. Everyone asks the question "do you shoot photojournalistic photography, but not everyone knows what this term means including many of todays photographers. The photojournalists approach is to create a story-telling sequence,

for the couple to remember their day by. It requires the us to be versatile in our skills as we adapt for each moment. This allows us to record the day, yet remain as unobtrusive as possible. A photojournalistic photographer figures you want coverage of everything and will automatically cover what's happening as well as other special moments and people they find along the way. The bulk of our work will be of candid moments, each which says something different about the wedding day. We will often work from a list during a short formal portrait session. Depending on the amount of time we are booked for, Our final product will contain a sequence of photos from moments throughout the day which give a story-like meaning to the album. Since we exposes up to ten times more frames than the traditionalist, the final album will contain only the 'most-favored' shots. Ultimatley Our work TELLS A STORY. Fine Art Photography

Fine art photography refers to photographs that are created to fulfill the creative vision of the artist.

Fine art photography stands in contrast to photojournalism and commercial photography. Photojournalism is to promote an editorial point of view. Commercial photography's main focus being to sell a product or service. The final creative reason for a fine art photograph is created most importantly to be true to the artist’s vision of beauty. Let us use our vision and your beauty to capture your bridal and engagement portraits. Dustin has a degree in fine art and has been working as a commercial artist for over 17 years. Every image we provide has been created with the vision of an artist and will look just as extrodinary on your wall at home as it would look in a Fine Art Museum.

Traditional Wedding Photography

Traditional wedding photography provides for more classically posed images and a great deal of photographer control and interaction on the day of the wedding. We are not a traditional photography company. We do however believe that wedding photography seeks to fulfill two purposes. The first purpose is to capture the essence of the day, tell the story and capture the emotion as it unfolds. The second purpose is to record history. Familys are spread out all over the country and a special occasion like a wedding is often a rare occasion that family is all together. There is no greater opportunity to record your family history than at a wedding. We help you develope a detailed shot list so as to capture those photos with grandma and grandpa or the side of the family that lives over seas. You may not get another shot so let us capture and record the history of your wedding day.

Two Photographers

We believe that having two photographers at your wedding can make a big difference in the way your wedding day is captured.

You get two different perspectives, Dustin is a bit more artistic in his style while Diana shoots more emotional photographs. Our perspectives are different but our work combined captures one complete vision.
Having two photographers helps to ensure that nothing goes wrong and that not a single moment is missed. Some times cameras freeze or memory cards run out of space at the worst times. Having two photographers capturing your day helps provide peace of mind knowing that if one of our cameras stops the other will be capturing those moments you will never get back.

Before The Wedding

We like to sit down and get to know the people we will be working for before we decide to work together. Not every couple is a good fit for us and we are not a good fit for every couple. We believe that the best way to work with our clients is to build a relationship that allows for you to be comfortable infront of the camera on your wedding day. We start by having you over to our in-house studio to just sit down and get to know one another. We may discuss family dynamics, how you met, and even share some information about ourselves. Once we have had an opportunity to get to know one another you will have an opportunity to see some of our portfolios and albums and we discuss the details of your day.
Once you have decided on a package and booked your date we will book some photo dates to capure your engagement and/or Bridal portraits. These are great opportunities to become familiar with each other as well as become familiar with working with professional photographers. Two weeks prior to your wedding day we will schedule a time to sit down with you and build out your detailed shot list. If at anytime you have questions or concerns about you wedding day Diana is available to answer all of your questions. We believe that taking care of all of your needs in a fast and couteous manner prior to your wedding day is just as important as the wedding day itself.

After The Wedding

Our great service does not stop with the wedding day, we like to continue to foster relationships even after the wedding. We invite you to our in-house studio to view your photos on our large computer screen while sipping on wine or enjoying a cold beer. You will be able to pick out your photos for the album and discuss album options at this time. We post your wedding photos online in two to three weeks to our online ordering website where your guests will be able to order photos directly from us. Once you have picked out you photos for your album we quickly process your order and send your album to you in the least amount of time possible.
